Giving Staffing a Good Name

November 4th, 2011

We Are Stambush
Weird as it seems, in my life there are two completely different Stambushs. One Stambush, is of course my family name, and there are just four of us in Texas (Susan, Sassy, Luke, and me). And then there is the Big Stambush. The Big Stambush has its own identity and it involves a lot of people. Simply put, in this context, there are a lot of Stambushs in Texas. I have never written about this (I don’t think), but I can’t keep it in any longer. To me, you all are Stambush. So what does Stambush mean? Well it means a lot of things to different people. Here are some things I hope it means, and I think it means:

    High-quality therapy professionals
    Reliable therapy professionals
    Experienced therapy professionals
    Caring therapy professionals
    Helpful therapy professions
    Nice therapy professionals
Fair treatment from the lowest paid employee up to the richest and most powerful customer
An ethical approach to temporary staffing and business in general · Honest, reliable, fun, and helpful staffing professionals
A force for good in a world of mercenaries. This takes a little explaining. There are two kinds of staffing companies I know of. There are mercenary companies and there are missionary companies. I like to think we are a missionary company.

So what am I getting at? Well, just what I said above. To me, we are all Stambush, because Stambush is no longer just some odd family name with no discernible country of origin. It has become a noun meaning all these things above, and may I suggest that if it is used as a verb, or adjective, people will completely understand. For example, “my old company did not stambush their employees.” Or, “I like that Director. She is very stambushy.” Or, “that is a very stambushian way to look at things.” I don’t want to leave that facility, they stambush their staff.” “ I want my kids to grow up and work under stambush conditions.” See, we all know what that means. Finally, I cannot end this article without adding the most important part. THANK YOU! Thank you all for making Stambush what it has become. If it weren’t for you all (including those from the very beginning – some of whom have passed on (yes I mean died) up until the present, Stambush would not be "stambush" and "stambush" would not be Stambush.

Susan Stambush, PT, MTC, Is Back to Work

Our own Susan Stambush is back working in contract. No she isn’t working 40 hours, but she is working quite a bit. Welcome back Susan!

Two People Plead Guilty to Health Care Fraud - Not Stambush Customers

According to the Fort Bend Star, a local chiropractor (Justina Okehie aka Dr. Tina Collins and her office manager (Cassandra Tasby Barnes) plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and one count of conspiracy to violate the anti-kickback statute respectively. According to the article I read, the conspiracy involved paying patient recruiters to refer Medicare beneficiaries as well as paying the Medicare beneficiaries for coming to the clinic. Allegedly, physical therapy and chiropractic services were being billed for even though they were not performed nor medically necessary. For more information, click here. Finally, I think you all should know that neither these people, nor their facilities, were Stambush customers. I went to the PT Board's website to see if they were registered PT clinics, but I found no matches. The two clinics were named “Adom Rehabilitation Services” and” Healthcare and Wellness Medical Center” – both in Southwest Houston.
